Error Boxes / MDL Errors

    There was an invisible end timer on quixotic and what was wondering what was going on and then suddenly I got this engine error.

    any idea what mdl this is?


    Other errors include "error red boxes" all over the map. "!hide" seems to be able to remove the boxes though. I might be missing some mdls but not sure which.

    Also happens on kz_warehouse

    Been getting this:

    Missing Vgui material vgui/..\vgui\maps\menu_thumb_default

    I'd say try validating your CS Go Cache files and see if that helps

    hmm ur missing some models here and there
    try deleting the map and downloading it agAin

    I'm getting this complaint from a lot of players recently. It seems pretty random as to which maps and which textures, but a lot of people are saying that they see error boxes lately.

    That doesn't solve it unfortunately. Nor does re-downloading the map.

    It's happening on more maps it seems. Bhop LJ / Kz_Buildings

    Some are originals (I know kz_buildings is an original). Some are ports (reported from some people).

    I actually just got this issue for the first time, on Cellblock. I've played the map numerous times before, without any error boxes.

    Tried deleting the .bsp and .nav and re-downloading the map, didn't help.

    To fix the quixotic bug, try deleting the kzmod folder from here and then redownload it from the server again:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\models

    If that doesnt fix it, I could just upload my version and see if that fixes it.

    Everyone I've spoken to has the cellblock error but player models seems to be bugged for a few others too. It works for me though so I'm not sure exactly how that problem can be solved. I'd try deleting the whole Models folder and see if that works. Just don't forget to backup.

    Yea, we're on Cellblock right now, and everyone seems to have the same giant error box.

    Same. I think it might be something wrong with a plugin.

    Using the !hide command can fix some of the error boxes, if a player model didn't load correctly.

    Do you have trouble with huge red error boxes on your server? That's probably because mapmakers forgot to add one or more model files to their map package/archive. The following plugin will fix it for the known cases: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vtlbefh38dppseq/KZErrorBoxFixer.zip
