Heyo, got a problem regarding saving time through the start zones on your server. Including a solution.

In your servers it is possible to jump behind the start zone edge, ultimately reducing the airtime to the first block you hit on the map. This is pretty annoying as it can save .1 all the way to a full second in time. Leaving it not down to whoever is the best at that certain map but who can jump the furthest behind the start zone edge and still make the route.

An easy solution would be to simply make the timer start when you jump and are in the start zone. This would render jumping behind the start zone useless.

    hoc pls fix :^)

    *bhopping :p

And yeah, makes a big difference on small maps since every millisecond counts.

Are you sure that this saves time ?
Currently it is implemented that in the start zone you're max speed is 250, except when you are pre-strafing
So jumping before the start in the zone gives you a max velocity of 250 when exiting the start, while pre-strafing you can get up to 300.
Hence considering that you're speed is greater while pre-strafing than when jumping and assume you travel the same length, then pre-strafe should be faster than jumping.

Yes it definitely saves time, I've been abusing it on every server where it works for 2 years, including HoC : ~ )

If you're talking about hitting harder routes through the prestrafe speed this can be true for some maps and not true for others. Some maps you can't get any better of a route with the +30 speed. Some maps that +30 speed can be the difference to make a very hard jump in some strafe maps etc.

I find it really hard to explain, add me at Steam Community :: waffa if you need a better explanation ^^
