I have been playing on HoC west a lot lately and I enjoy playing longer maps such as cursedjourney and colors. An issue I have been having while playing is when I am the only person in the server people are able to join and rtv while I am mid run. When only 2 people are in the server it will begin the rtv vote immediately. I am not sure whether their plan is to troll the person in the server or just they don't read the chat after they call the rtv. Even after asking for the extend the other person has chosen a map. This then goes into the tie vote which I assume always goes in favor of the new map over the extend if it is 50/50 because this has happened a few times. So basically I am asking if there is a way that the rtv system could be changed in the even that there are only two people in the server and required that both players rtv to begin the vote.
I support this. Or at least, make the 50/50 split favour extend. I'll spend some time writing down points and counter-points if you want me to, but as a runner, this pisses me off endlessly.
I'm already looking at the RTV plugin. Someone I know just pushed some updates into it, and I think one of them was weighting the extend heavier. Soon*
Appreciate it but in the situation given when only 2 people are present would it not be better to always pick the extend? I understand when large amounts of people have a 50/50 on a map and extend that the favor would be given to the extend but when it is 2 people I would think that the person asking for the extend was the person in the server longer. It seems a bit ridiculous if someone can join and have a chance to still change the map on their own even if it is 20% or whatever is chosen.
You misunderstood. The heavier weight on the extend option would cause extend to always win if it's 2 people.
