Hi, I feel like for ranking system, a ladder system with more benevolent names could serve to improve overall satisfactions and happiness within the server. For example "Field Marshall" or "Jungle dweller" "Lt. Cernal grade 2" or "sand ostrich" I feel like if everyone had a name that didn't really relate to authority and seniority kind of viewpoint, everyone shall benefit. Thank you, if you do like the idea I can make up a list or maybe the server could collaborate.
We had ranks previously, but I believe they were removed at one point in the updating process. Whether that was due to coding/compatibility issues or a deliberate choice is unknown to me though. I do know that when we did have a ranking system in place which corresponded to points for beating maps/using different styles, there was a number of people who would go to obscure/uncommon maps just to gain points. I'm personally pretty indifferent to the idea, as it's kind of a neat feature to have, but it doesn't really add much to the server IMO.

Alright let's just wait 10 years for Blacky to finish his timer. The timer that HoC currently uses is free, so the point system is lackluster to say the least. Suggestions for ranks: My rank: good Everyone else's rank: not good
HoC2 works because there's only 2 types per map (pro runs and teleport runs), so you can't spam maps with bonus' and 12 different styles
Ah yeah forgot about this. So unless you could change the percentage for each rank as well as the criteria for types of runs it wouldn't work, gotcha. But outside of a system like the one on HoC2 most will be spammable, because they won't be based on percentile but on single completions, which would lead to ranks with little meaning.
