IMO the most aids map still in HOC rotation: - half the time you spawn under the map and if there's no veteran kzers to tell them to switch sides it's a horrid experience of trying to crawl under the map attempting to find the start timer (happened to me when I was a noob, ok, I'm triggered) - spinning moving blocks, say no more - that room that is a medical hazard to anyone with epilepsy because of the flashing lighting (and generally annoying to everyone else) - blocks that break when you stand on them / no clear route in some rooms - way too dark The map is no longer global and I see no reason to keep the map on HOC. Vote & discuss!
It's still global, just not on hoc. From admin thread: pLekz - Even though I personally hate it, it's a competitive map and once you learn it the flow isn't bad.
I couldn't find it on kzstats, which is what led me to believe it had been removed from global map pool; please correct me if I'm wrong. And I agree that the main problems for me (seizure room + spawn problems) can and should be fixed.
Also, while I do understand that maps like this remain in the pool due to competition for records, it is also critical to consider new/less veteran players and their experience on HOC. Functionally this map is horrid to newer players, especially because of the spawn problem. Not a good first experience.
I have no issue with maps being put up for removal based solely on their low quality. Global status has no affect on whether we do or do not host a map.
